Rubén Niamke Martin

Ruben Martin is a mixed-race actor of West African heritage, born and raised in Madrid, Spain. Fluent in Spanish and English, he brings a natural warmth and versatility to his work across stage and screen. He is currently based in London.

His screen work includes Rise of the Footsoldier: Ibiza (2025) and the short film Home Invasion, where he played Adam, earning an IMDb credit and a special mention from the National Youth Theatre and at a film festival. He has since appeared in several short and student films, including a bilingual re-adaptation of Anora (2025).

Ruben is currently training for his BA (Hons) Acting degree at LMA London, graduating in summer 2026, while continuing to take on freelance acting work. In 2026, he and his acting company won a pitch to take their original theatre production to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, performing for three nights at The Space UK. He will also be travelling to Spain in March to perform in a five-night immersive theatre production.

Ruben is particularly drawn to bold, character-driven stories and enjoys exploring complex, grounded roles across both film and theatre. When he’s not acting, Ruben is usually somewhere between airports, trains and Google Maps, happily chasing his next adventure.
