Katja Ponickau

I'm from Cologne and have been working for various German and International film and television productions for over 10 years now. Since 2025 I work as freelancer all over Europe and have a work permit for the UK.

It all started at the age of 4 with 10 years of professional musical instrumental training and many traveling to European countries. At 17, I added theater and an audition at the drama school in Leipzig.

I develop my roles and scenes using Ivana Chubbuck's Chubbuck Technique and continuously improve my film and stunt acting skills to enhance both my psychological and physical abilities.

What sets me apart is my internal vision of each role and scene, and a versatile and multifaceted personality.

I enjoy incorporating both positive and negative life experiences into my roles, which allows me to connect even more deeply with my character and make them my own. This enables me to switch between emotions relatively spontaneously and effectively, to implement directorial instructions directly, and/or to refine a character in the smallest nuances until it perfectly matches the director's vision.

Further strengths include a calm, focused, and analytical work ethic, the ability to quickly learn or relearn lines, and/or improvise. I am very active physically, athletic, and love to travel. I am a fighter who never loses sight of her goal.
